Compassionate Support Meaningful Change
At Progressive Pathways Behaviour & Disability Services, we offer Equine-Assisted Therapy for individuals of all ages and abilities. This unique approach combines the calming, intuitive nature of horses with evidence-informed therapeutic techniques to support emotional growth, self-regulation, confidence, and communication.
Whether for children, youth, adults, or seniors, our equine-assisted sessions provide a safe, supportive environment to explore personal challenges, reduce stress, and develop positive coping strategies. No riding experience is needed—sessions are ground-based and tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
Equine-Assisted Therapy is a powerful option for those seeking a non-traditional, nature-based approach to mental health and personal development.

Chance Burles
Chance is a Canadian Forces veteran and co-host of The Collective, a podcast dedicated to resilience, growth, and purposeful living. His path has carried him from the frontlines of Afghanistan to the frontlines of personal transformation, where he has devoted himself to fostering trust, building connection, and guiding others on their journeys of self-discovery.
As a certified Equine Facilitator and riding instructor, Chance integrates his military background, professional training, and personal growth experiences into his practice. He understands that horses—like people—respond to authenticity, presence, and intention, qualities he has learned to embody through both hardship and healing.
Equine therapy played a pivotal role in his own recovery, shaping not only his perspective but also the way he supports others today. He approaches equine work as a true partnership, where the horse acts as a mirror to the human experience, offering honest feedback and powerful opportunities for transformation.
Grounded in empathy, accountability, and a deep respect for resilience, Chance helps individuals confront challenges with courage and openness. Drawing on lived experience in trauma, healing, and post-traumatic growth, he empowers others to discover their own capacity for change—with the guidance and wisdom of the horse beside them.
In addition to his equine therapy work, Chance will be opening spaces for riding lessons in the coming months, providing new opportunities for individuals of all ages to learn, grow, and connect through horsemanship.
Chance will be providing services near New Sarepta.
